Meet Chris Justice...

Name: Chris Justice
Role at Lee Park: Senior Pastor
Started on Staff: I served as a Bi-Vocational Pastor at Lee Park from 2006-2008 while working at WCNC-TV in Charlotte as the evening News Anchor.
In 2008, I left the anchor desk and became the fulltime pastor at Lee Park.
Family: In 1991, I married my High School Sweetheart – Becky. She is uniquely and wonderfully made for the role to which God has called her. Becky is an accomplished singer and Bible teacher who is also a wonderful mother, wife and my best friend. We have four children: Jordan, Caroline, Jake and Ty. They are sold out for the work and provide great support for Becky and me.
Favorite Verse: Philippians 3:14
What I enjoy most about my ministry: The most enjoyable part of my job is to see lives changed by our Great God. He is still in the business of saving lost souls and bringing people into a right relationship with Him, which produces a faith that is lived out for others to witness!!!
For fun I enjoy: Being the pastor at Lee Park Church!!!
More About Chris: For 17 years I worked in television broadcasting. I was working in Charlotte as the evening News Anchor for WCNC-TV and enjoyed my job and the life I was living. However, there was an ache in my life that I couldn’t settle. I knew it was connected to serving the church didn’t think it was a call to leave my job in television. I spoke at different events, was a greeter in church, did door to door evangelism, and finally began to teach two Sunday school classes at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Still…the ache didn’t go away.
In 2004, I received a letter from Rev. Robert Latta asking if I would speak at their Homecoming service on the first Sunday of August. I was honored to get the opportunity to speak. When I opened the door at Macedonia Baptist Church on that Sunday morning – God made it very clear that I would continue to have the ache until I surrendered to the call on my life to be a pastor. I surrendered, began Seminary almost immediately, was ordained at Hickory Grove, and by 2006 was the pastor of Lee Park while still working in Charlotte as the evening News Anchor for WCNC-TV. By 2008, Lee Park grew to the size where it needed a full time pastor. The television station was extremely gracious to me and I was able to walk from the anchor desk to the pulpit on Easter Sunday 2008 as the full time pastor at Lee Park.
Since then God has shown me the difference between a job I enjoyed and a calling. I love the work He has called me to and I am honored to share the Word as the pastor of Lee Park. God has had His hand on the ministry at Lee Park and I look forward to the days ahead serving Him. Hope you will come visit Lee Park. You will find a multi-generational church that will “Preach the Word and Love People”!!!
